Thursday, November 9, 1865. Some of the most provoking things occurred in school today, but I had to bear them. Mr De Hass is wonderfully kind, or I believe I should utterly fail. Stayed in M-s room while all the folks but Libbie went to prayer meeting. Made arrangements for Manda to teach for me so I can go home tomorrow. Sat up late but did no writing or reading. Am afraid that much of the winter will pass thus.
