Sunday, November 19, 1865. Day calm & holy, day nearest heaven. Read my morning lesson, & then with Manda went to church. Bro Ingalls preached an excellent sermon from Heb 4th, & 16th. Thought much of Ortus today & that with the sick one here made me sad. Refreshed at communion. Too tired to go to church in the evening & sat with Mrs W- & Libby in M-s room. As I wrote one year ago more of sadness than song in life today.
