Tuesday, November 21, 1865. Some dull after last nights dissipation. Did not enjoy teaching at all & was very glad when school was out. It seemed so pleasant to sit down quietly in M-s Room & forget the vexations of the school room. But for one thing I would go to Davenport immediately but that one thing I cannot give up. Manda here staying all night with me. Tired, tired, when will the end be?
