Tuesday, November 28, 1865. Up earlier, and really wrote a little before school. The first cloudy day since the first day of the month. One or two things occurred in the A.M that saddened me but it was all over before school closed. Begin to feel that I am daily gaining ground with the scholars. Manda came to see me at noon and we had one earnest half hour. Evening sat a while & talked with M-, and wrote some after supper. A day of trust & peace. Goodness & mercy all my days &c.
