Wednesday, November 29, 1865. More life than usual this A.M and did several things before school. School very pleasant & at noon came a letter form bro Joe, and my good sister Jennie. J- went with me to school a few moments & then away. As soon as it was over got ready & went to Mrs Darwins. Had Lizzie for company part of the way. A most delightful evening with Mrs D- Mrs P- Ella, Manda Jennie, Charlie D & Capt W- last but not least. Reading the November Atlantic till midnight
