Sunday, December 3, 1865. Spent the morning reading my Bible Went to church and heard a good sermon by Rev Hare. Raining when we came home Read for two hours in the "Out Door Papers", by Higginson. Then in my Bible till after three when I went to M-s Room & stayed till tea time. A profitable sunny Sabbath day. Earnest gratitude & love have filled my heart all day. What a peaceful life I am having. But not that life.
