Saturday, December 9, 1865. Spent all the forenoon sewing. Not very well & enjoyed sitting by the fire in quiet. P.M read the Presidents Message and several pages in "Womans Phil" &c. Eve' wrote letters to S.J.R Mary B. Jennie, & Eunice Hardenbrooke. Had a very pleasant half hour with Libbie & Mrs W- & M- in his room. Thus ends another week. O! that I had more courage for the next one. But I remember "As thy day shall thy strength be.
