Saturday, December 16,1865. Reading to Mrs D- & Manda all the A.M. Wrote a long epistle to Mattie. Evening sewing while Charlie read to us. Called at Dr Corkhills. Letter from Mollie Ingalls. On the whole a most happy day. Such a pleasure to be with Manda again. As she so often says "the lines have fallen to us in pleasant places". How much we have to be thankful for, I say over & over again.
