Wednesday, December 20, 1865. Want to school suffering terribly with my tooth. Came so near going crazy that I had to go to the dentists & have my tooth drawn. So thankful when it was out! Eve' - with Tishie went to Mr C- to [mite] Soc'. Too stormy for any else to be there and we had a "splendid time". The singing & playing were delightful & the evening far too short. Such a good letter from Mattie telling me all her troubles. Saw M- a moment this A.M.
