Friday, December 22, 1865. The last day in school for this year and how glad I am that it is over! Out of school early, drew my money & made some purchases for Christmas presents for the friends at home. Then to Mrs Darwins & had a most pleasant evening. Two months I have been teaching & outside of the schoolroom they have passed delightfully Friends have been kindly given me & Gods love the best of all.
