Thursday, December 28, 1865. Did the ironing and finished in good time Read all the A M in Cloister & Hearth. P.M went to the train to meet Mrs D- but she did not come. Jennie had several calls. reading again most of the evening So the hours glide away and the year will soon be gone & I go back to work. What a treasure to possess a glad light heart, but 'tis religion makes it so & I may well rejoice.
