Friday December 29, 1865. Such a busy day! The A.M spent in household duties. While we were on the tip-toe of expectation for Mrs D-s arrival, four others arrived not half so welcome. Then came Mr G-, Nellie, Mollie & Purdie K- so that we had hardly a quiet moment with our best loved guest Retired very late almost too tired to sleep. The last day at home for some time but the one precious promise goes with me.
