Sunday, December 31, 1865. The last day of 65. It is too bright springlike to feel sad. The morning sermon was very fine, & the thoughts that followed profitable. The rest of the day spent in reading my Bible and religious articles. And the yr. is gone and no great changes in my life. What will another year bring me. This question was much in my mind until the New Year came in & then I slep. Very pleasant has been the year 65. May 66 be more so.
