Sunday May 6th 1923 Hattie to church. I was busy in my room. After noon did up a box to send to Sciota Lape. Wrote to her and William Byington. This is his birthday. Afternoon Bob Bloom and wife called. Rob & Cora away at supper time. Hattie and I rode with Ott & Fannie. Read in evening. Monday May 7th 1923 This is Dear Wills birthday. Hattie and I went to town. We selected paper for my bedroom and I was at Dr Ned Smiths office. he took the plaster from my fact. It was raining so I came home in a taxi. Emma sewing for Cora. Letters from Laura and Mrs Falk. Evening at home. Tuesday May 8th 1923 It was a regular winter day with cold wind and guts of snow. I was sewing on chair covers. Emma here making Hattie a dress. The man came to put in new light fixtures. I read in evening, to bed early. Wednesday May 9th 1923 Weather some better. I sewed all afternoon. Went with Hattie to Missionary Meeting at Mrs McClintocks. It is Hatties birthday. She got some nice things. Norma got up a nice supper. We took a ride after supper. Hattie stayed down with Fannie. I spent the evening alone. Wrote Mrs Pickens & W B McCall. Thursday May 10th 1923 I sewed some in AM. John Hedges here at work in PM. I washed windows and put in screens. Rob & Cora went to Cedar Rapids. Hattie & Fannie to a tea. A man came to put up curtain fixtures. The girls up to see The Kaspers.
