17 Washing Woolen Clothes To 6. gal of water add 3 or 4 tablespoons of liquid ammonia. Use a good white soap Cover the clothes over and leave to soak an hour Then wash out by drawing through the hand [[underlined]] Do not rub the fabric [[/underlined]] Brush with a soft brush any spots of dirt Rinse out in warm water twice and wring through the wringer Do not use a very hot iron in ironing.--
