Alvera's Dressing for Roast Meats or Fowl good! 4 slices of stale bread soaked in lukewarm water for a short time. Squeeze out dry. Then put this through meat grinder with a small half of onion & celery. Add good tablespoon melted butter 1 egg -- poultry dressing & sage, salt & pepper to taste Stir this together well. Handle lightly do not press. I have read that freshly-mixed mustard will remove ink stains from the most delicate fabric without injury. To get tar from the streets on one's clothes is not an uncommon experience, but to remove it is not always as simple unless one knows how. It should first be softened with some soft grease like lard and worked between the fingers until it is in a very soft, pliable condition and then washed out in soda and water. After this the garment can be laundered in the usual way.
