Pop overs. Stir together 1 cup flour, 1 of sweet milk, 1 egg well beaten, & a piece of butter the size of a walnut. Bake in small tin rounds. Soda cakes. Dissolve 1/2 pd sugar in a pt milk, a teaspoonful of soda 2 lbs flour, melt 1/2 lb butter, knead till light, & bake in shallow moulds. Rice Waffles No.2 2 gills boiled rice, 3 of flour, a little salt, 2 oz melted butter, 2 eggs beaten well, & milk enough to make a thick batter, beat light. Potatoe yeast. Pare & boil 6 large potatoes, & mash them in a pan with two tablespoons of flour while hot, 1 heaping tablespoon of sugar, & a shallow one of salt, 2 pts of water, half a teacup of yeast. Dough nuts. Dough nuts, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup butter 2 egg, 2 teaspoonful of cream tartar, 1 teaspoonful soda, nutmeg.
