your finger, & piece as you can grasp with your fore finger & thumb - put this in 1 pint of Whiskey - after remaining in it 2 or 3 days, take 3 drops in a little water take it three times a day adding one drop at each dose until it amounts to a tea spoon full then stop for several days, & then begin again as at first - Should you have any unpleasent feeling, or yr Eyes begin to get red, before your dose reaches a tea spoon ful, you must stop for several days - & always begin with the 4 drops &c - When Poke berries get ripe, you must discontinue the root & use the berries - squeeze out the juice, & put with it enough whiskey to prevent its souring, & take a wine glass full every morning - Dry the berries, & in winter steep them in whisky, & drink as directed - Mrs Williams says she has seen terrible cases of scroffula cured by this remedy - Turn over
