Monday January 10th 1916 It rained most of the day. I was busy knitting mittens. I had a letter from Ida. Wrote Fannie and sent it to her and wrote a card to Ida. Tuesday January 11th 1916 The weather was not cold but looked so like rain that I did not try to go up town. Letters from both Hattie and Fannie tell Hattie has an old trouble come on that she will not start to California for another week. Wednesday January 12th 1916 Still drizzling after an all nights rain. Stella came out to get Venes help to make her mince meat. It turned cold in afternoon. Will took Stella to the depot in a raging blizzard at 5.25. I made tatting all day Thursday January 13th 1916 It was ten below this morning, We sat in our own room part of the day. I wrote Hattie Did some fancy work. It kept below zero all day Friday January 14th 1916 Still cold, we were about home all day. I am working on a [stand?] cover for Vene Lydia at her desk most of the time. A neighbor here in the evening. Saturday January 15th 1916 I had a letter from Ott. answered it and wrote a lot of cards Went up town to get some things at the store in afternoon Called to see how Lizzie was Got home early. We have decided to not go to Oklahoma but stay here with Vene.
