Monday October 2nd 1916 Lizzie did washing. It was very fogey but cleared of before noon. We had early lunch and Will Lizzie Ott and I went ten miles up in the timber in the engine to a logging camp. It was a wonderful trip. Got home at 4:30. I had letters from Fannie Hattie Lydia and R T Allen. Fannie enclosed letters from LeGrand who has gone to Philadelphia to school. Tuesday October 3rd 1916 Lizzie did her ironing and I was busy with other things. We were invited to Mrs [Dewese?] for afternoon. she had a fine supper. It was night when we got home. Ott was in too. Scott got supper for him and Will. Thursday October 5th 1916 I was jist as busy as I could be all day. I got the trunk partly packed in forenoon. We both had to change clothes later in the day and put things in the trunk. Got it away before supper time. Rob & Hattie were in awhile and we were over at Little Robs in evening to hear Pauline play. Friday October 6th 1916 Soon after breakfast went to the depot. Left for Centralia at 9:10. Mr and Mrs Lewis met us there in their Auto and we were soon at their house where we had a fine roast duck dinner. We rode in the Auto all afternoon. These are very kind pleasant people. We visited awhile after supper but all were tired and went to bed early.
