Friday March 23rd 1917 I ironed the things we washed Wednesday and I did a little sweeping. I went to town at 12:15. I wrote a letter to Lydia Mason in Dr Smiths office while waiting for him to come. Did some errands. Went to a picture ]show and came home at 4:30. Worked on my spread. Saturday March 24th 1917 This is Father's birthday. Will was in town all afternoon. I was at home all day. Did a lot on my spread. Sunday March 25th 1917 We went to church and got our dinner in town and then walked over to Hatties to see Ott & Fannie who came down from Des Moines yesterday. We came home at 3:30 and I called at Mrs Robinson and brought home my plant. I read all the evening. Monday March 26th 1917 Was busy all forenoon. I went to town at 1:15. I got me a new hat and then went up to Nellie Swishers to a meeting. When I came back stopped to pay Mrs O.Brian for the care of Byington cemetery lot. Crotcheted all evening. Tuesday March 27th 1917 I was at home all day. I made a pair of pillow cases for the Aid Society and covered a pillow to take to Vene. Late in the afternoon I wrote some letters and cards. Thee was a strong wind and very unpleasant. I had a good letter from Lydia. They are expecting we there the last of the week. Laura home for a short vacation on account of illness among the pupils.
