Wednesday April 25th 1917 We worked till noon to finish scrapping the walls. I got us a little dinner and put in the afternoon cleaning wood work in the kitchen. It rained some and was very unpleasant. I did not try to go to town to an Aid meeting. Thursday April 26th 1917 I cut out and made the new draperies and put yup some other curtains after washing curtains in the morning. The paper hanger came at 4 oclock and he and Will cleaned the ceiling. I had the floor to clean again and washed wood-work after supper. Friday April 27th 1917 The man came early to paper. He finished in time to eat dinner with us. I put in the afternoon. getting things back in the kitchen and ironing curtains. wrote Sue and Sallie and sent paper to Homer McCall about Fred Theobolds death. weather cold and rainy. Saturday April 28th 1917 Did some washing but it rained on the things so I had to bring them in the house. Will was in town awhile in afternoon. I fixed curtains for up stairs and did some other sewing before bed-time. Sunday April 29th 1917 It was a cold windy morning. I felt too tried after the weeks work to go away from home. I was busy about the house most of forenoon. I read the papers and wrote Lizzie Lindley in afternoon.
