Sunday September 16th 1917 I was busy with the work till dinner time. It was like a summer day. Will and talked on the porch most of the afternoon. I wrote a little while he walked down town. Monday September 17th 1917 Will helped me wash in the forenoon. I had some baking and other work to do. I rested in afternoon. Will mowed the yard and cut weeds. pleasant day. Tuesday September 18th 1917 I ironed in forenoon and went down at 2:15 for my treatment. I walked over home and found Birdie alone on the porch. Hattie came a little later and we had supper and walked back to town to a picture show. I got home at 8:30. Wednesday September 19th 1917 I made plum jelly today and got some grape juice ready for jelly. I did some sewing too. Thursday September 20th 1917 I worked most of the day sweeping and cleaning the house including the porches. I rested awhile late in the afternoon. a shower last night settled the dust. Friday September 21st 1917 Will and I were invited down to Hatties to dinner. I went down early. The girls went over to Coras late in the afternoon. I did not care to so went on up town and home at 4:30. I did some extra work in the evening. I have company for tomorrow.
