Saturday September 22nd 1917 I was busy most of the forenoon with my dinner. Hattie & Fannie came first and Birdie & Cora later. We had a pleasant day visit. The girls went home at 5:15. I put the dishes away and got our supper. Sunday September 23rd 1917 It was very late when we got up. I wrote to Lydia and cousin Jen. Ott & Fannie came out for plums soon after dinner and I rode home with them. I visited with Birdie & Hattie till time to come home at 5:30. Monday September 24th 1917 I went down at 9:15 to see Birdie start for Chicago. Ella Rhodes was on the car. She was going with Birdie that far. I went home with Hattie and later came to town for my treatment. Home at 3:30. weather fine. a splendid letter from Lydia with one from Harry enclosed. Tuesday September 25th 1917 a fine day. Will helped me wash and he mowed the yard again. I fixed my plant and did several other things. I rested awhile in the afternoon. Wednesday September 26th 1917 It rained most of the day. I ironed in forenoon and did some mending and rested some in the afternoon. Thursday September 27th 1917 I put up some plums in forenoon. Went down at 1:15 for my treatment But Dr Herrington was sick. I went over to see Aunt Lib who is very sick. Then over to Hatties and home at 7:30. Hattie had been in town brought home a new [cloak? clock?]
