Monday October 22nd 1917 I looked after the dinner some and did a little washing Hattie was out with Mrs Lambert. I selected some thing to pack in afternoon. While she was at Shakespeare Club. I did fancy work in the evening. weather unpleasant. Tuesday October 23rd 1917 I finished getting my suit case ready and dressed to go soon after breakfast. Ron took me to the depot and his mother to Mrs Keiths. Ruth soon came but our train was late. We made proper connections through and reached Delavan on time. Frank Woolf met us and took me down to Venes. She gave me some supper and we visited till bedtime. Wednesday October 24th 1917 I was here at the house all day visiting with the folks except for walking up to the depot with some mail. I talked to the Duncans. weather some pleasanter. Thursday October 25th 1917 Vene was busy with her work all forenoon. I went over to Lizzies in the afternoon. Carls folks were cleaning house a real nice day for it. He brought me home before dark. Spent the evening visiting. Friday October 26th 1917 Cold and rainy in forenoon. I wrote letters in Lydias room. It cleared of at noon. The Woolfs came for me to go to the High School Parade. Edith came at 6:45 bringing with her two young girls. I went with them in the evening to The High School Circus. I hear from home all are well.
