Thursday November 1st 1917 Frank Woolf came for me in the forenoon. I met him up town. I had letters from Hattie and Fannie. I found Ruth was ready to go home tomorrow, so phone Lydia to write Will we would be there. I came back I the evening with The Woolfs when they came to Red Cross Ball. Friday November 2nd 1917 It was a nice day. I met Ruth at the depot. I came near being left because my time was wrong. We had quite a comfortable trip but was late in Iowa City. I brought Ruth home with me. Saturday November 3rd 1917 I unpacked my things and helped Hattie some. Ruth went home soon after breakfast. Mrs Chatham was here for dinner. Will out to Coralville in A M and to town in P M. I was down at Fannies. Evening at home. Sunday November 4th 1917 It was a pleasant day. Will & Hattie & I walked to The Presbyterian Church. LeGrand brought us home in the car. After dinner we all went for a short ride. Later I wrote to Lydia. Hattie & Paul went to church in evening. Monday November 5th 1917 Will & I went to Coralville at 8:30. We did washing and I ironed and baked cake and put up [sweet?] pickles. It was a fine day. We had both meals at home not going back till 7:35. Hattie was away in afternoon. Had supper at Otts. Rob & Cora were in to say good bye. They start to Idaho tomorrow A.M.
