Wednesday November 14th 1917 I went to town late in forenoon for things for me green silk. I rode home with Ott. I had to go back in afternoon. Mollie was over to stay all night. Thursday November 15th 1917 I was home all day helping with the sewing. Mrs Fellman was working on Hatties blue dress late in the afternoon. She finished my silk. weather pleasanter. Friday November 16th 1917 I was helping sew in forenoon. Hattie down to Fannie awhile cutting our bed-shoes for Red Cross work. I went to town in afternoon. Wrote Lydia. I met Will and helped him select a suit of clothes at Coarts. I got a lot of little things for the sewing. It was so warm that I was tired when I got home. Hattie and I spent the evening at Otts. Saturday November 17th 1917 Hattie did a big washing of towels and cleaned up the house before dinner. I was helping Mrs Fellman all the time. She made new sleeves to my blue dress and fixed my velvet coat. There was a number of ladies here in the afternoon to sew on the bed shoes. Hattie had refreshments. I got us a little supper. By both of us doing part we finished the ironing and stitched more of the shoes. a fine day. Sunday November 18th 1917 I rode to church with the folks. Will met me at the store after dinner they went to ride and took us to Coralville. We walked back as the cars were delayed. Stopped at Woolfs. Only Charlie home. Hattie & Paul at church in the evening.
