Saturday November 24th 1917 It was "The Home Coming Day" and foot ball. I was down to Fannies awhile. I spent the afternoon at home. The other folks were in town. weather cold. Sunday November 25th 1917 We went to church in the morning and soon after dinner I went up to Coralville to get some things. The car was late and it was cold waiting. I read some and went to church with Paul & Hattie. Monday November 26th 1917 I was at home all day. I was sewing some and worked on trimming for pillow cases. Hattie at Shakespeare Club. Tuesday November 27th 1917 We were busy about the house during the forenoon and all went to town with Rob soon after dinner. We went to a picture show. I walked home and the girls came with Rob later. weather threatening rain. Wednesday November 28th 1917 We were home all day. Hattie prepared the things for dinner tomorrow. William and Fannie took a basket of things to Mrs McCleary that we sent. a letter from Lydia Thursday November 29th 1917 "Thanksgiving Day." We were busy with the dinner all the forenoon. The folks were all here and Paul Helmich ate dinner with us. The folks were her for supper and till bed-time. I sewed a little and am knitting another pair of socks. a mild nice day.
