Tuesday December 18th 1917 I knit what spare time I had on Henry Prentisis sweater. Will went to Coralville in afternoon and I walked over to town for some cream and stopped at Fannies awhile. We were all home in the evening. Mollie here all night. Wednesday December 19th 1917 Busy all forenoon with the work. I had a long letter from Lydia telling all about her Fathers sickness and death. I wrote Vene and enclosed what was intended for their Christmas gift. Will took the letter to town. Hattie to a lecture in afternoon. I am sewing on Christmas things Thursday December 20th 1917 I went to town in the forenoon to finish my shopping and came home with Rob at dinner time. I went over to see Orie in afternoon and took Lydias letter to read to her. I left it for Otts folks to see. Spent evening at home. Hattie to prayer meeting. Friday December 21st 1917 Hattie did washing this forenoon. I was down to Fannies of an errand and jist as I came out of the house William came up the hill. Will & I were going to Coralville but he did not feel well. I wrote Aunt Emma and sent Lydias letter to her. Rob took us over to town to see Dr Smith late in afternoon. Hattie to town and home at supper time. Saturday December 22nd 1917 I helped Hattie clean up the house and in afternoon Will & I went to Coralville to fix up things about the house so we could leave there for the rest of the winter. I had a letter from Lydia thanking for their Christmas and one from Sue Reed. We did not get back from Coralville till dark. Hattie had supper
