Friday April 19th 1918 It was a cold raw day for the time of year. I sewed most of the day on shirts I fixed for Will. I washed them out after supper and left then in the house to dry. I had a fine letter from Lydia with me from Will Werk enclosed. Saturday April 20th 1918 I baked a cake and got the dinner. It began to snow about two oclock. I went down to Hatties on the 2:54 car and Will came at 4:14. She had Otts folks and Rob & Cora invited for supper. It snowed so Will and I went to town with Rob as soon as we had supper and came home at 8 oclock. It was snowing very hard. Read the papers. Sunday April 21st 1918 I did some baking and was down to the store to see about some things before dinner. I went down town in the afternoon and to a picture show. Home at 6 oclock. Tuesday April 23rd 1918 I baked some bred in forenoon. With rice substitute. It was fairly good. I went down to Hatties at 2:54. we were at Fannies most of afternoon. Soon after supper I rode to town with Rob & Cora and came home on the 8 oclock car. I read all the evening. weather cold and unpleasant.
