Wednesday April 24th 1918 Will & I made some gardens in the forenoon. He planted potatoes in afternoon. I was out to Mrs Cannons to a meeting of No 2 division. Home at 6 oclock car. I read all evening. Thursday April 25th 1918 weather pleasanter. Will helped me do washing. Ott called him to come into the office in early afternoon to see about selling The West Farm. he soon came back in an Auto with a Mr Bradley who had bought the form for me to sign the contract. We get $18,000 for it and give possession the first of next March. I wrote a letter to Lydia. Bro Charlie would have been 72 years old today. a shower at evening. Friday April 26th 1918 I ironed this morning. Tishie and Eloise were out most of the afternoon. Will went to The Farm with the man who bought it. I have had a head ache and went to bed early. Saturday April 27th 1918 I spent a wretched night. Did not sleep till nearly morning and Will did not sleep much either. I did some work about the house and after dinner slept for two hours. I then went down to the store for some things and got the supper. Read awhile and went to bed. Sunday April 28th 1918 It rained most of the night. I got up after a good nights rest feeling better every way. Hattie came out after church. I got the dinner and visited with her and read some aloud to her. She went home at 5:39. I read in evening.
