Thursday May 30th 1918 I did not sleep very well but was busy. I wrote Hattie and Mrs Falk. Will mowed the yard. I had a bath on the porch as he was resting before I went to town at 5:39. I went home with Rob Cora & Mollie to supper. They brought me back to town and I came at 8. The rest of the eve on the porch. Friday May 31st 1918 Will worked on the garden and finished the yard. I was sewing all my spare time during the day. I finished reading a book aloud to Will. Sent paper to Hattie & Fannie. Saturday June 1st 1918 Ott & Fannie have been married 31 years today. It has been pleasant. I have done the regular work and some sewing. Rob & Cora here a moment in the evening. Will has a lame back. Sunday June 2nd 1918 I went to church. It was "Children's Day." Tishie and the girls went with me. Will busy with Art Jones getting Red Cross subscriptions. Ott was out in the evening. Monday June 3rd 1918 I intended to go to town today but it rained most of the day. I wanted to see Dr Smith. I sewed some and crotcheted. Word from Hattie & Fannie say they were to go Washington yesterday. Tuesday June 4th 1918 Will went to town for me this morning. There was a terrible rain most of the night with frightful lightning. I did not do much of any thing and slept awhile in the afternoon. Will & I spent the evening on the porch. I wrote to Lydia right away after supper.
