Thursday June 20th 1918 I washed a few things this morning. Will mowed weeds around the fence. I laid down awhile in the afternoon and after supper ironed the things. Fannie got home last night from her trip east. She had been up to Milwaukee. This has been one of my days of being not so well. Friday June 21st 1918 Will helped me do a big washing of large white things. There was a wind that they soon dried. I ironed some late in the afternoon. Rob, Cora & Fannie were here for a short call soon after dinner. I am in a little more pain than yesterday. a long letter from Lydia with one from Aunt Jane enclosed. Saturday June 22nd 1918 I ironed in forenoon and got dinner over so Will & I went to town at 1:24. We saw the [west?] picture show and heard Fillipeno band at "The Strand." Came home at 4:30. Sunday June 23rd 1918 We were invited down to Fannies for dinner. Rob came for us. He and Cora were there too. We had a fine ride in The Chandler in the afternoon. Went to Muscatine and Rob brought us home. Had supper & read some. Monday June 24th 1918 It was raining in the forenoon. I did not do much of any thing. I wrote letters to the afternoon to Louise Bradley, Nellie & a card to Mrs Falk. I sent them down by Art Jones. Ida telegraphed Fannie she would be here.
