Sunday December 1st 1918 This is Otts birthday. The family are invited for supper. Hattie went to church. The snow is melting some. I wrote to Mattie Stitt and Lydia. We went down to Otts about five oclock for supper. William came home from Des Moines on the afternoon train. He had come from Camp Merritt with a troop train. Monday December 2nd 1918 I feel better than I did yesterday. Did some fancy work. Hattie had the folks from the other house here for supper. a young man who came west with William was here too. I helped Hattie do up the dishes. Rob & Cora spent the evening here. The others went home earlier. Tuesday December 3rd 1918 I rote Mrs Falk today. I went to town with Rob & Cora after dinner. Did some errands and went for my treatment. I stayed in Dr Bronsons office awhile. Then went over to the store to come home with Rob & Cora. Wednesday December 4th 1918 I wrote Anna Forgy and Jim Dunlap in forenoon. Hattie went to town with Rob after dinner. Was out to see Ida. She has been really sick for a week now. Thursday December 5th 1918 I crotcheted in forenoon. Fannie was here awhile I went over to see Mrs Teeters late in afternoon. Rob came to supper at 5 oclock. Hattie and Cora both went back to town with him. Will & I did the dishes.
