Saturday December 14th 1918 Mollie went to town in the forenoon. Mrs Dow & Rob were here for dinner. Fannie came in the afternoon. I felt so nervous I went up stairs to lie down awhile. I wrote most of the evening. Sunday December 15th 1918 Wrote some in the forenoon and we went over to Robs for dinner. The folks went to ride for awhile. Later Ott stayed with me while Hattie rode awhile. Mrs Willis & Bertha called. I wrote some more in the evening. Monday December 16th 1918 I wrote some more. I am sending "The Memorial" Ott had published for Dear Will to some friends. I get many letters of sympathy. Hattie and I went to town with Rob after dinner and he took me up to look where so many loved one sleep. Will did not want to leave me so lonely and helpless without him. I know he did not. Later Hattie and I went to Coralville, built a fire in the house and looked around awhile. Came back at 4:15 Hattie got of the bridge and I went up to Dr Bronsons office. Came hone with Rob at supper time. Three years ago today Will & I started to Delavan. Tuesday December 17th 1918 I did a little more writing this morning and went to town with Rob so I went to Coralville at 12:15. Ruth Hedges went with me. We built fires and she cleaned the kitchen and shed room. I got some things from Kosers to eat. Art brought is the paper to read in the evening.
