Saturday February 15th 1919 I spent the forenoon in bed crying most of the time. It was a year today since Will & I started to Oklahoma City. Vene and the girls were busy with the work. I read a little Sunday February 16th 1919 I did not get up till noon. The girls went to church. we spent the day talking and resting. Monday February 17th 1919 I did not get up till nearly noon. I wrote Ott, Hattie and Mrs Dayton and was about the kitchen some. The girls at school. Tuesday February 18th 1919 I had an Auto take me over to Lizzie Duncans in the forenoon stopping at The Baldwin bank to acknowledge signature. We spent the afternoon visiting. a letter from Jennie [Shuel?] says Mary is very ill. Wednesday February 19th 1919 I wrote to Mrs John Stevens in Texas. Lizzie invited Laura here for dinner. I went to see Mrs Shirts. Clara Foster and Harty McKinstry. I had another letter from Jennie. Mary is worse. I wrote Hattie and The Woolf girls tonight. I am not able to go home. Thursday February 20th 1919 The anniversary of Father and Mothers wedding. It snowed all day. We got the meals and visited. No mail. I wrote card to Hattie. Friday February 21st 1919 I had a man bring me back to Venes. I soon had a telegram for me not to come home, and later telling how bad Mary was. I wrote to Hattie. at 5:30 Robert and Richard came for a visit. Had head ache and went to bed early.
