Saturday May 31st 1919 I was sewing most of the day. Hattie to town in afternoon. a shower and very warm. I wrote Lydia in the evening. Sunday June 1st 1919 Hattie not able to get up. Had a bad cold. This is Ott and Fannie's 32 wedding anniversary. as long as Will and I were married and we were so ready to enjoy a few more years together. Hattie felt better and we had picnic supper over on Robs porch. we hurried home to escape a rain. wrote Nellie Byington. Monday June 2nd 1919 It rained all night. I sewed most of the day fixed my white dress. Hattie to a luncheon at Mrs Webbs. I wrote Ida. a letter from Nellie. Ida had her operation on her hose & is home again. Tuesday June 3rd 1919 I ripped up my pink kimona to fix over. I went to Coralville 1t 1:45. Did not stay long at the house. Came down to Garrets to wait for car. Home with Rob & Cora. a hard rain after they went back to store. Hattie & I talked of my keeping house here. Wednesday June 4th It rained most of the night. I cleaned up my room. talked to Hattie. after dinner went down to Fannies. fixed linin dress Mollie and Paul here for supper. David Brant died suddenly. Wills friend. Thursday June 5th 1919 I went to Coralville at 9:15. I did a lot of work. looked over things in the old desk, fixed some of the carpets to take up. I came home at 4:15. car late. wrote Laura a long letter. Hattie at Red Cross rooms in afternoon.
