Wednesday December 4th 1919 I was busy with different things in forenoon. wrote to Lizzie Lindley. I went up town in afternoon and down to Duncan's a little while. The men are sawing Venes wood. a bright day but cold. I feel much stronger. Thursday December 4th 1919 Cloudy again today. I read the home papers. There is coal shortage there too. I wrote Tishie Hedges a letter was up town late in afternoon and late walked over to see Mr Godly about the work at cemetery. The girls to a lecture. Friday December 5th 1919 It was very late when I got up. I wrote Hattie and LeGrand. I went up town after dinner. Called at Tom McKinstrys and down to Lizzie Duncans. Came home jist at dark. Talked with the folks in evening. Saturday December 6th 1919 Vene and I were ready soon after ten oclock to go out to Frank Woolfs when he came after us. Sophia had a nice dinner and the day was spent in visiting. They were coming in for the evening so we had supper before they brought us home. I found a letter here from Hattie. The day had it sad memories for the last time I was there Will was with me and so concerned as I had a cold and he was afraid I would get more. We had jist come back from Oklahoma City and the trip back had been rather hard on me. Dear Will I loved you better then I knew I did.
