A letter from Lydia says the folks will be home Friday night Wednesday July 6 1910 I got the wash and ironing done up and went to town at 10.12. I got some new sheets. Thursday July 7 1910 I did sweeping up stairs and put things to rights in the forenoon. After dinner I helped Will put wire on the outside of the new yard fence to keep the chickens out. After that I swept and dusted the lower story. It was a very hot day. I took time to write a short letter to Mary Briggs. I had a letter from Harry The [illegible] are [illegible] in our hay.
