Sunday January 1st 1911 It was a mild day and rained slightly. We were invited down to Woolfs to dinner. We had such a pleasant days visit. Came home at 4.30 I read a book all evening. It turned colder. Monday January 2 1911 It was a frightful cold day. I did the work as best I could and sewed what time I had. It is a holliday in the city and no mail today. Tuesday January 3 1911 Still cold thought not so windy. Will went down town in afternoon to a board meeting I was busy with sewing most of the day. Wednesday January 4 1911 Will churned for me and I baked a cake to take down to Mother's birth-day party tomorrow I was busy with sewing and fancy work the rest of the time Thursday January 5 1911 It was snowing some in the morning but soon cleared of. I went down at 10.15 and [rode?]
