Monday May 15 1911 I was taking care of the chickens and putting down the matting in the little room. Was down home to spend the evening. Mother about the same. I wrote Lydia. Tuesday May 16 1911 I was still working at the house-cleaning and taking care of the chickens Mrs Brown called in the afternoon. I went down home at 8.15 to stay all night Hattie had a telephone message from Sister Ida. They will be here Friday night. The are in Carthage. a hot day Wednesday May 17 1911 Did a lot more at the cleaning. Washed curtains and cleaned the the front porch with a brush. Mother does not feel any better. Will busy helping me and working about the place. A letter from Lydia Thursday May 18 1911 We did an awful big days work. took up and put down both the sitting and dining room carpet. I got some hand-work washed besides and [put?] out some little chickens. I went down home to stay all night
