Tuesday May 23 1911 I put down stair carpet and put the curtains up in forenoon. I cam home in first car. In the afternoon I cleaned the kitchen and helped Will put out plants. I had a card from Lizzie Lindley her Father is very ill. Wednesday may 24 1911 I got the work done and dinner ready for company Ida, Nellie & baby came first and Ott & Fannie for dinner Some of them stayed till after supper. It was late when I got the work done as I had to look after little chickens. Thursday May 25 1911 I put in all my spare time till two oclock cleaning the chicken house for the little chickens. It was a fine day Will busy with the team. I took a short sleep in the afternoon and down home at 8.15. A letter from Lydia. Friday May 26 1911 Came home on 5.10. Will was down in the yard looking at a little colt belonging to George Warren. Ida Nellie & baby went to Carthage today. We did a big washing. Very warm. I wrote a letter to Lydia and slept some. I took of the last of the chickens I have about 175. Mother had a good night for her
