Sunday March 30th 1912 Nellie and I went down at 9.15 and to the office to see Ott awhile. Then we walked to the drug store and soon took a car for the the depot. Nellie went at 10.56. I came down town and went to Otts to spend the day. Was up home a little time. Hattie very busy and came home at 4.00 with Will and after supper real all the evening. A long letter from Lizzie Lindley. Mrs Carrie Wilson at DesMoines forwarding it to me. Sunday March 31st 1912 Not a very pleasant day. I did the morning work and read some. I wrote a little in the afternoon and read aloud to Will part of the afternoon and evening. Monday April 1st 1912 Weather unpleasant I put in the day sewing on muslin for myself. Will was only home to meals. Went over to the school house in evening to trustee meeting. To town in the afternoon and Carolville council meeting in the evening. Tuesday April 2nd 1912 I was busy sewing. Will went to town the afternoon and brought out some letters of Otts from Ida and Harry. Ott is sick today. I wrote to Nellie and Harry in the evening. Wednesday April 3rd. 1912 I went to town at 8.15 going out the river first. I got some things I wanted and was home at 10.40. I sewed all afternoon. Bro Rob would have been 58 years old today. I had a letter from Mary Briggs today.
