Monday April 22d 1912 I was busy about the house all forenoon and Will and I went down to Marys in the afternoon in the little wagon She is sick in bed. a frightful wind blowing. There was cyclones in Illinois yesterrday with loss of life. Tuesday April 23d 1912 I worked in the garret att forenoon . I washed the curtains and after dinner did some other work before I went to town at 2.15. I was only gone an hour. Did some ironing and got the supper over. Will busy about the place. Wednesday April 25th 1910 I baked bread and Will helped me with the white clothes of a big washing. It was a fine day. I raked out in the lot where the old board piles had been in the afternoon Will put seed in the little field he put in oats. Thursday April 25th 1912 I was outside at work awhile after breakfast but a little shower drove me in. I ironed in the forenoon and in the afternoon fixed a pair of pants for Will and did other mending. Nell Murphy was here in the afternoon. Will busy about the place most of the day. Friday April 26th 1912 It was a frightfully windy day . I had a hard time with the kitchen stove. I was so worn out I laid down after dinner after that did sweeping and cleaning up stairs. Will plowed the garden before noon and in afternoon plants some potatoes. Charlie would have been 66 years old today. a letter from Lydia.
