Monday June 3rd 1912 We got up early. Will went over to the school house for election and was only home long enough to get supper till late bed-time. I worked out doors some during the day. Louie & Hattie were out to get supper and spent the evening. Tuesday June 4th 1912. I am sewing what time I have from the house work fixing my brown silk dress. Will and I were down town awhile in the morning. weather pleasant. The men finished screen porch this forenoon. Wednesday June 5th 1912. I was still sewing today. I finished my dress and am fixing a light dress. Will and I talked it up a little and I decided to go to Chicago next week. I wrote Nellie and Laura Mason in the evening. Thursday June 6th 1912 I was busy with the work all forenoon. I have strawberries to pick every day. I dressed to go down at 1.15 and went up to Mrs Wades to a reception where I met Clem Ashley who is here from California. Home at 5.30. Friday June 7th 1912. I was very busy all day. I did some work about the yard. and in the afternoon I painted more screens and washed some windows. After supper I picked berries, cut some greens around the fence, and went over to see how Mrs Jones was. she is sick in bed. I wrote to Lydia in afternoon. Will went to town in waggon to take back lumber from screen porch.
