Sunday June 16th 1912 It rained hard last night. We did not go to church. I wrote to Will & Nellie and visited with the folks. Vene and I took a little walk in the afternoon. A friend of Harrys came from Springfield before supper time and [illeg?] she walked with me over to Lizzie Duncans where I staid at night. Monday June 17th 1912 I spent the forenoon with Lizzie. we went over to see Mattie and Irene who are staying at Jennie Culbertsons while she is in Peoria with her Mother at the hospital. After dinner I went back over to Venes and packed my things. Laura had been ready and we left there at 5:24 and reached Iowa City before 12 oclock. we went to the Buckle to stay the rest of the night. Tuesday June 18th 1912. We had out breaskfast at 7:30 and I came home at 8:30. Laura went up to see about her work at S. V. J. and was ready to come out at noon. I did a little work about the house after dinner. We had our first new potatoes from the garden today. Laura and I spent the evening with Fannie. Ott & LeGrand started to Idaho Sunday morning. The other folks are in Boulder. Wednesday June 19th 1912. I did cake baking and got the dinner. I took a sleep in the afternoon and we looked over some pictures of Lauras. Will went to town after supper and Laura and I took a walk down in Coralville and stopped at Ed Kams to talk with his sister awhile.
