Wednesday July 3rd 1912 I did ironing and cake baking in forenoon. I rested in afternoon and after early supper went down to Minnie Shavers where I spent pleasant evening. Laura came home with me. I wrote cards or letters today. Thursday July 4th 1912. I baked cake and prepared colored eggs in the forenoon to take down to Fannies tonight. We girls rested after dinner and went down at 4:15 and Will at 6:15. We had such a nice time. Mr Smith, Joe Williams, and Frank Hutchison, & Louie Filtz were there out-side the family. Of course we regretted there of our own that were away. We came home at 9:30. A very warm day. Friday July 5th 1912. I did some washing and got a nice dinner. I slept some after dinner and then did ironing. I had a letter from Hattie and card from Ida and Millie Byington. Laura and I spent the evening on the porch. Saturday July 6th 1912. I put up raspberries this morning that I got yesterday and got up dinner. Will to town at 1:15. I wrote cards to Ida, Nellie, Lizzie Lindley, & Millie. We girls went down town at 3:15 and out to John McCallisters jist in time to escape a rain. We stayed there till nearly nine oclock. John brought us down town in the Auto. I got some things and we came home at 9:30. I was very tired. Hattie writes they may be home next week.
