Thursday July 25th 1912 I wrote to Hattie this morning and Will and I went out to Stratton Park and climbed the stairs at "Seven Falls." we got back in time for dinner. I called to see Mrs Gillette. she was only a block away. Will was down town. We both got home before a heavy rain. we spent the evening at boarding place. Mrs Gillette and [illeg] called. I wrote Aunt Emma. Friday July 26th 1912. Soon after breakfast we went out to "Manitou Springs." We did not go upon "Pike's Peak" The folks did not come from Boulder. It looked so much like rain that we did not go out till late in the afternoon just for a walk. Mrs Gillette came over for awhile and late we went down to the Majestic to a picture show. Did packing tonight. Saturday July 27th 1912 We left Colorado Springs before ten oclock. We had enjoyed it very much. And were so nicely situated for the money it cost. Reached Denver about one oclock. Rob & Cora were there. We got our dinner at The M & M Cafeteria and Cora and I went to our rooms at "The Fans" with the baggage. Later we came down town and met the boys and we went away out to a summer garden where there were all sorts of monuments. we looked around some and come back to The Fans kept by a Mr Gayman who lived in Iowa City years ago. We had supper at a restaurant and went to picture shows. Denver is beautiful by electric light. We were all tired enough to go to bed when we got home.
