Monday September 9th 1912 Will left home at 8:15 for down town where Mary met him and they started to Delavan. Their train was late but they went on any way. I worked all day with the fruit and taking care of things. It looked like rain late in the afternoon and Rob & Cora did not come out till 8:40 Tuesday September 10th 1912 I made some jelly in forenoon and got dinner. Rob was out. I went to town in afternoon for an hour to get some things needed. I did the evening work and got supper. Rob was very tired and did not go back tonight. warm today. Wednesday September 11th 1912 I cleaned bottles and put up grape jelly today. I got a little time to rest today. Rob did not come out to supper and Cora and I went down to [Micheldorn?] He had gone to lodge so we did not see him. we came home at 9:30. We heard from the folks they stayed all night in Peoria going over. The men got the wind mill up at west farm. Thursday September 12th 1912 This is the big day of the Delavan fair. I had a card from Lydia and wrote her. The Old Settlers Picnic was here but I did not try to go. I was working most of the day. It takes me a long time to do the work out of doors. Rob was out for both meals today. It was 40 years tonight since Will was married for the first time. weather cool but we have had no rain. They are busy house-cleaning down home and Fannie doing her own work.
