Tuesday September 17th 1912 Will got home on the 6:30 car this morning. he got Mary home all right and they stayed at Jennies. Rob was out to dinner and Cora went back with him taking their things away. Will and I went to the farm to see about the pump. Did evening work and to bed Wednesday September 18th 1912 I was busy with the work. Will to town after an early dinner but to the farm. I got things ready for a rain that came before he came home. Did fancy work It was 28 years today since we laid Rob away, the first there. Thursday September 19th 1912 It was a fine day. I did a big washing all alone. Will busy about the place. he went to town to take a man to the farm to finish the pump. I was worked most of the afternoon. I did intend to go down to see Mary but was too tired. I had most of the chores done when Will came home. he has such a lame foot. Friday September 20th 1912 It rained most of the day. I ironed and did mending Will about the place resting his foot. Wrote a card to Lydia. Saturday September 21st 1912 A nice day. I was busy all morning doing kitchen work. Will to town twice. I was going down to Marys but she had other company so I rested and made tattling. John is not well today. Rob has the new fountain in after working most night and day since Wednesday afternoon.
